My advice is to ask yourself 3 questions, and then read the comments concerning these questions provided by Holland E. Bynam, the author and developer of The All-Around Success Program.
Question #1:
What does being a graduate mean, and in what light should I see all my graduations?
Question #2:
Have my studies prepared me to deal successfully in the 21st Century economy and workplace, as well as in the other places that are just as important?
Question #3:
What is necessary to fill in the knowledge gaps left open by not being covered in the courses of study I have completed?
See Holland’s Comments below
Question #1:
What does being a graduate mean, and in what light should I see all my graduations?
Comment:
Graduation means you have successfully met the minimum requirements for completing a program of instruction wherein the high points of the curriculum established for it were emphasized. And while it also means that you have identified yourself as ready for the next course of study that will allow you to acquire additional knowledge (understanding gained through study and experience), it does not mean that you have been given the wherewithal to be successful in using the information previously given.
Because most of the subjects that are key to understanding oneself and others, and for dealing successfully with these others in a wide variety of situations are not covered in the curriculum, your graduation should be seen in the correct light. In the first place, the subjects you may have mastered were presented by teachers whose job was to present the curriculum only. Since educators and other professionals were also not given these key subjects, they, themselves, are quick to point out the value of the All-Around Success Program (see testimonials).
Question #2:
Have my studies prepared me to deal successfully in the 21st Century economy and workplace, as well as in the other places that are just as important?
Comment:
Unfortunately, few courses of study at any level are oriented to preparing students to deal successfully in applying the skills introduced
Question #3: What is necessary to fill in the knowledge gaps left open by not being covered in the courses of study I have completed?
Comment:
When one considers that no single book or program has been developed to address this issue, I advise the individuals who see the need to widen their outlooks and extend their knowledge and skills, to become wholesomely involved in a quest to obtain the super tips for success promoted in the All-Around Success Program. It is a fact that other books and programs are usually “one-dimensional” – meaning that were developed to address a single subject area in a theoretical sense. I feel it is also a fact that these do not provide a full understanding of the subject material so that it may be applied in a wide range of situations in a practical sense.
It follows that in filling in the knowledge gaps, the basic need is have a practical understanding of an array of key topics that are not provided in schools and universities. These topics are best presented as short instructive strategies, tips, and formats useful in the success arena, and followed by reinforcing support lessons designed to expound on and compliment the original tips in such a way that they will be vividly, soundly, and memorably implanted in the minds of those who see a definite need to empower themselves and extend their knowledge and skills.
The skill areas of deepest concern are interpersonal skills for understanding and getting along with the three groups of people found in everyone’s life; educational skills directed toward strengthening comprehension abilities, communicating effectiveness, critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving; skills essential for managing and leading effectively; and for a wide variety of work-related concerns. All of these are highlighted profusely in the success books developed to make this program a dynamic one.
