As will be seen, my own blogs, while they will be pointed to promoting the program that many say is the most advanced yet for empowering others, they will always be based on the “tips process.” I see this process is an art form because it meets several of the definitions for the word, “art.” Among these are: 1) skill attained by study, practice, or observation; 2) artful devices and strategies; and 3) a non-scientific branch of learning.
The following –extracted from the preface pages of the lead book for both — The All-Around Success In A Nutshell Program (developed for those targeted as potential Success Club members), and The Super Tips for Success Program (developed for success oriented advanced learners in schools and universities) — attests to the validity of the theory I hold regarding the tips process as an art form:
The specific meaning assigned to the word “tip” when used with “off,” is to give someone information that is secret; however, secrecy is not the motive in all cases. What does hold in all cases, however, is that the objective of tip-off information is to give others an edge in being more successful than they would be without the tip.
It would be extremely difficult to find a successful person who has not been tipped off concerning advice on (1) the timing for doing a thing, (2) the procedure for doing something, (3) obstacles to progress that need be avoided, or (4) concerning a person or organization to contact that will be instrumental in helping the individual striving to reach a goal.
As proof, most high achievers who have obtained greatness in some category or other — as speakers, writers, athletes, soldiers, inventors, gardeners, etc., will admit to having special coaches, mentors, or advisors. It stands to reason that the tips provided these high achievers are always outside the general stream of knowledge, and not readily available in books. It follows, therefore, that individuals who wish to be more successful in the general sense, ought to be on the lookout for tips that will help them in reaching this goal.
It is no secret that the givers of tips may do so for various reasons. These may include a need for personal monetary gain, to assist a certain side win in a competitive effort, or for fear that certain information or instruction is being held back or denied persons who deserve to benefit from the information they are able to provide.
As for my tip-oriented blogs, it may be rightly said that each — much like the motivation for developing the success programs – will have its roots planted solidly in fears ingrained during my many years of participating in both the education and the general success arenas. My principal fear is that too much is denied folk with high achieving potential. I am convinced that the most salient need for these individuals is to have a keener view of how to be successful in a wide variety of 21st Century concerns.
My Motivation
My efforts — like the efforts of all authors, inventors, mentors, and advisors who are bent on the welfare of others with the zeal to soar above the mundane and to accomplish something extraordinary – are motivated by a positive kind of fear. While others may cringe at the thought of being seen as fearful, I, seeing it as a prime motivator, have chosen a term for this variety of fear. I call it “righteous fear,” and have devoted a page in the preface to the success books in order to explain how it is the catalyst for successful ventures and for all truly successful individuals.
My blogs, then, will pertain to the 56 major topics and the almost one hundred additional minor topics and situations determined to be essential to the knowledge bases of success-oriented persons. As most of mine will be based on an author’s singular viewpoints, I admit to being enthusiastic in participating with fellow bloggers having both confirming and dissenting viewpoints.
